This article questions the local impacts of the temporal-space adjustments of the capitalism in a global way. Its main objetctive is to interpret the effects of the informal and illicit economy (main local impacts) in the territory covered by the commune three from the city of Villavicencio, Meta, Colombia, in the XXI century. The interpretative process is structured in three moments.The first one aimed to do a contextualization of the transformations in the territory of the Colombian Orinoquía, the second one tended to identify the impacts of those territory transformations in the city of Villavicencio and finally it was done an interpretative work of the impacts of the informal and illicit economy from the perspective of the informal workers and university students who are residents in the commune three. The investigation work was conceived from an interpretative focus, methodologically it was opted an ethnographic and historical design which was complemented with the application of the SENSEMAKER software of qualitative research. Within this emotional recovery strategy, the representation, language, stories and testimonies of victims are part of the process of creating a memory. The image as a symbol fosters sensations and feelings associated with the context of what has been lived, recalling the past and giving it a new meaning from the present. The image serves as a therapeutic facilitator because it allows the individual to connect with their emotions, memories, ideas, people, objects, etc. more intimately. Where these documents argue that the PcD are subjects of law that deserve decent working conditions and the barriers of access to work have been produced by society's conceptions and prejudices around disability. Messages that seek to promote products varied and eclectic in their feel and purpose. With capitalism holding court in most societies, it is no surprise therefore for corporate enterprises to take to advertising their products with great verve. The advertisements while attention-grabbing are also unfortunately often considered questionable. With competition rife among advertisers to capture consumer attention for a slice of the advertising pie, advertising messages are becoming increasingly risqué and frequently downright offensive. There is growing concern over lowering standards in advertisements. Be it excessive sexual content, discrimination on grounds of gender or propagating regressive philosophies, advertisements are sadly being noticed for wrong reasons. The present paper seeks to explore the idea of offensiveness in advertisements through an analysis of advertising content. Further, a focused group discussion adds the audience perspective on the issue as well. Straddled by Uses and Gratification Theory, Social Responsibility theory & Self Construal Theory, the present study attempts to answer questions related to reasons for people finding advertisements offensive and the falling standards of media platforms with regard to social responsibility. Thus, this study was undertaken to investigate musical preferences across five different social classes; upper class, upper middle class, middle class, working class and poor class in selected urban and suburban areas of Sri Lanka (N=75). The social classes were categorized according to the mean monthly national household income level of the Sri Lankans. Ten tracks representing the correspondent musical genres were selected namely: new age, romantic instrumental, gypsy music, jazz, folk, hip-hop, Indian classical, western classical, rock and nature music. The preferences were evaluated using the frequency percentages of the most preferred track along with the mean scores of a 9 point hedonic scale. Moreover, the ART-ANOVA statistical test was conducted to determine the interactions between social classes and music preferences. The most preferred and mean of hedonic scale rated music genres in each class as upper class: jazz with 40%; 6.87(±2.00), upper middle class: nature music 33%; 7.20(±1.28), middle class: romantic instrumental 27%; 6.86 (±1.73), working class: romantic instrumental 33%; 6.8 (±1.37), poor class: rock 40%; 6.53(±2.3), respectively. The interaction between social classes and genres was significant with a Pr(>F) value of 0.0036 (p<0.01). Despite the socio-economic status, the highest music preference was recorded as the romantic instrumental 23%; 7.02(±1.27) across all classes. The tonal and melodic elements of romantic instrumental genre may be the key fundamentals of music perception.
