Freedom emotional technique (EFT) therapy is a non-pharmacological treatment that can help change blood pressure. During the Covid-19 pandemic, online EFT is the right solution. This study aims to determine the effect of online-based EFT on blood pressure during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method uses pre-experimental, namely one group pretest and posttest design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 50 respondents. The research location is Kalimeang village, Karangsembung Sub-district, Cirebon District, Indonesia. The research instruments used were observation sheets, sphygmomanometers, and stethoscopes. The data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study indicated that online-based EFT therapy affected the change in blood pressure among patients with hypertension during the covid-19 pandemic. This research contributes to the reference of nursing practice by applying EFT therapy to patients to change their blood pressure with online treatment.","PeriodicalId":404682,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Nursing Information","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114720644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on adolescent smoking behavior by providing education through counseling to stop smoking. This study uses a survey methodology and quantitative literature studies. The research locations are in two junior high schools in Jakarta. The sample is 60, with details of each junior high school amounting to 30. The results show that the characteristics of adolescent smokers aged 12 to a maximum of 16 years, there are sources of exposure to smoking most commonly found in their family members. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is vital to reduce the risks of contracting Covid-19. However, using complete PPE will significantly disrupt the process and way of working, especially when the availability of PPE is increasingly tricky during a pandemic. This study aimed to determine the factors that influence the use of personal protective equipment during the pandemic by medical record officer. The research method used was a quantitative observational analytic study using a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 56 medical record officers in Kuningan, Indonesia. Data were obtained through interviews and observations. The study results of the factors that influence the use of personal protective equipment during a medical record officer's pandemic are knowledge of the use of PPE, attitudes and use of PPE, and availability of PPE with use. The information obtained in this study is that more and more medical record officers in hospitals are significantly at risk of Covid-19 transmission. Therefore medical record officers are expected to better protect themselves by using complete PPE when dealing with patients.","PeriodicalId":404682,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Nursing Information","volume":"186 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127398539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The population in this study were patients with type 2 DM in the working area of the Luragung Health Center, Kuningan Regency. The sample taken in this study was 28 respondents using the purposive sampling technique. The statistical test used was the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the respondents' blood sugar levels before brisk walking were 200-250 ml/dl. After brisk walking, there was a decrease in blood sugar levels, which were tested using the Wilcoxon statistical test resulting in a p-value of 0.01<0.05, meaning Ha was accepted. The conclusion of this study is the impact of brisk walking exercise on reducing blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the working area of the Luragung Health Center.
