In this sense, we analyze an error-correcting scheme widely acclaimed in the literature, which is constituted by the concatenation of a Reed-Solomon (RS) code, a convolutional code and an bit interleaver, and an alternative error-correcting scheme with less computational complexity composed of an RS code concatenated with a short block code. Base on a comparative performance analysis of both error-correcting schemes in terms of bit error rate, we conclude that the alternative error-correcting scheme offers satisfactory performance in terms of bit error rate and considerable computational complexity reduction when compared to the usual one.","PeriodicalId":395877,"journal":{"name":"International Symposium on Power Line Communications and its Applications","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132196924","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this regard, we perform statistical analyses of additive impulsive Gaussian noise models in order to measure the effect of the noise information on the proposed technique. Next, we solved resource allocation problems under symbol error rate constraint to verify the correctness of the proposed technique.","PeriodicalId":395877,"journal":{"name":"International Symposium on Power Line Communications and its Applications","volume":"114 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115953960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The question had to be answered for the specification of ABBs new power line terminal ETL600 that can be configured for pure digital, pure analog or mixed analog/digital operation. The presentation shows how this has been done, points out open standardization problems and makes propositions for solving them.","PeriodicalId":395877,"journal":{"name":"International Symposium on Power Line Communications and its Applications","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134566533","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
