We report on the results of an experiment in which MT input was processed using output from the named entity recognition module of Sheffield's GATE information extraction (IE) system. The gain in MT quality indicates that specific components of IE technology could boost the performance of current MT systems.","PeriodicalId":39394,"journal":{"name":"Medecine Therapeutique","volume":"64 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2003-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84258898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
