However, in\u0000 most application environment the coatings are subjected simultaneously to both\u0000 wear and corrosion phenomena, which is termed tribo-corrosion. The conjoint action\u0000 of wear and corrosion is often more intense than pure corrosion and pure wear\u0000 effects alone. It is necessary to fabricate coating with excellent resistance\u0000 against both wear and corrosion and study the tribological behavior under\u0000 corrosive environment. Recently, an emerging technology, High Power Impulse\u0000 Magnetron Sputtering (HiPIMS), has gained much interest and become a hot topic of\u0000 research due to the unique properties it can achieve.
