The study explores the meaning of transparency for Chilean organizations through 11 in-depth interviews to VP’s of public and private organizations. Strong organizational efforts are observed in giving whole priority to the legal dimension of the concept as an instrumental and strategic way to communicate. However, a relational dimension arises as a contribution to its conceptualization from a communication perspective.","PeriodicalId":38151,"journal":{"name":"Comunicacion y Sociedad (Mexico)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135270667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Four journalistic chronicles were chosen, two published contemporary to the crime and two 20 years after, from three journals. The results indicate that the types of nominalisations have changed over time, but there is an enunciative matrix that remains. These results allowed us to recognise the functioning of discursive mechanisms of ideological formation and the socio-historical relations of continuity/discontinuity.","PeriodicalId":38151,"journal":{"name":"Comunicacion y Sociedad (Mexico)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135888258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The comparison of both processes based on the testimony of the protagonists has yielded significant results on the processes of emergence, consolidation strategies and forms of state control and administration of these neighborhoods, as well as the political mobilization actions of the inhabitants, from the perspective of communication as an organizational resource.","PeriodicalId":38151,"journal":{"name":"Comunicacion y Sociedad (Mexico)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136097957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The findings show a rotation of the network that results in a less intense polarization, where the party division does not explain the formation of frames. In the #EsLey event, the application of the Network Activated Frames (NAF) model allows us to verify the selective propensity of users to share content with those who have cognitive affinity, and its topological consequence, the overrepresentation of the frames activated by the most ideological users.","PeriodicalId":38151,"journal":{"name":"Comunicacion y Sociedad (Mexico)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136372998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
