Contemporary organizations and corporations and their systems of management are not providing a viable intergenerational future for the planet. And the lack of adequate theory is contributing to this failure. Management theory is in the paradoxical situation of being both conceptually fragmented and yet also dominated by conventional forms of theorising management that seem to ignore the global challenges that currently confront corporations, governments and their host communities.
