These kinds of difficulties are not limited to pop songs, but occur equally in the larger society. Especially in the English language, the conventional names used for emotions turn out to be ambiguous, confusing, and in large measure, deceptive. In the spectrum of emotions, there may be no word for one color, too many words for another, and green can mean yellow and purple.
