Occupational therapists are able to take into consideration an individual’s pre-hospital roles and assist in determining the likelihood of patient’s resumption in their roles and routines. In the acute care setting, the occupational therapist evaluates the patients and then provides the appropriate interventions and discharge recommendations to assist in returning to functional activities.
