These servers allow to run third party services directly at the edge of the network, providing minimal latency to the user equipment while minimizing the use of packet core bandwidth. Conserving bandwidth has become increasingly important for the mobile network operators as the mobile traffic volumes have skyrocketed, and forecasts suggest that the volume growth will continue in the future as well. In this study, novel local streaming service concepts based on Mobile Edge Computing and their business models are proposed through explorative research, utilizing a relevant theoretical framework. Furthermore, future research for the concepts are suggested.","PeriodicalId":299739,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Next Generation Mobile Applications, Services and Technologies","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115667673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By integrating the sensing capabilities of WSNs in the IMS, a rich set of contextual information can be exploited to provide new and personalized multimedia services to IMS users. We have previously proposed a presence-based WSNs/IMS integration architecture, and discussed its design and implementation aspects. In this paper, we focus on the aspects needed for the practical deployment of this architecture. An enhanced IMS business model is proposed for the resulting sensors-enabled IMS environment, and several important support functions are elaborated, including: a two-level identification scheme, a charging model, security and information access control mechanisms, as well as WSN gateways' dynamic discovery alternatives.","PeriodicalId":299739,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Next Generation Mobile Applications, Services and Technologies","volume":"461 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116925931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, region of interesting was selected. Secondly, Gaussian Mixture Model was used for background construction, and moving objects were detected by background subtraction. Thirdly, morphological processing was used for detection of relatively complete target, then fusing of ellipse fitting, compacted features detection and tire circularity detection for vehicle recognition. Experiments show that this algorithm could realize monitoring exactly and keep illegal parking area smooth.","PeriodicalId":299739,"journal":{"name":"International Conference on Next Generation Mobile Applications, Services and Technologies","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117216346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
