A língua inglesa poderá ser aprendida na escola pública se Abstract: This article discusses the importance of learning English as a second language by Brazilians in view of the growing internationalization of studies and opportunities and the use of technology for learning. Online tools contribute to English learning and can be considered complementary or even substitute for formal education. English language teaching has many resources, especially those based on technology-mediated communication. The teaching of English in Brazilian public schools has as guidelines several official documents, Ministry of Education, such as the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB) 9394 and National Curriculum Parameters for Elementary and High School (PCNEF and PCNEM), and Also the Curriculum Guidelines for High School (OCEM), these documents are guides to the educational principles that govern the classes. The methodology used in this study was the qualitative bibliographic review. The results found that the possibilities of combinations of the use of online digital resources lead to characterize the stimulation of autonomy and motivation of learning.
