Using bibliometric analysis method, this paper analyzes the knowledge graph of 379 articles on ‘sports tourism’ collected from 2013 to 2021. It is found that the research hotspot of sports tourism mainly focuses on the concept of sports tourism, the theory of sports tourism, the case study of sports tourism, and the scale of sports tourism industry. From the branch evolution path analysis, it is found that sports tourism research mainly focuses on tourism nostalgia research, sports tourism risk perception research, sports tourism event development, sports tourism sustainable development and so on. Finally, the future research trend is prospected reasonably.","PeriodicalId":252122,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Sport & Tourism","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121060531","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Participants viewed a short nostalgic video clip featuring their favorite team and then completed a follow-up survey. The study discovered that self-esteem and empowerment were crucial factors in the relationship between nostalgia and pride, which subsequently increased the intention to visit a city of teams. Moreover, the study showed that only long-time fans experienced empowerment derived from self-esteem, leading to pride and a desire to visit the home game cities of the teams. Additionally, it was found that nostalgia directly influenced the intention to visit the home game cities of teams exclusively for these long-time fans.","PeriodicalId":252122,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Sport & Tourism","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114215802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study examined how student spectators evaluate their experience during college sports events across multidimensional behavior stages: spectator attachment, interaction and emotion, and satisfaction. A total of 229 college students in the United States completed an online survey. Results showed that spectator attachment positively influenced spectator interaction and emotion, which in turn had a positive impact on satisfaction. Spectator interaction and emotion also mediated the relationship between spectator attachment and satisfaction. The findings provide insights into the importance of student spectator attachment and interaction in generating positive emotions and satisfaction, with implications for sports tourism and marketing.","PeriodicalId":252122,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Sport & Tourism","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127171728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
