The analysis of the absorption coefficient spectra for the three samples revealed a pronounced red shift in the direct allowed electron transition's energy band gap of the GaSe. In addition, the band tail states of GaSe, which was observed at ~ 0.25 eV, disappeared upon binder coating. The binder coated GaSe films screen the energy band gap of the GaSe as band tail state in its energy band gap. On the other hand, the analysis of the dielectric spectra of the binder coated GaSe thin films displayed an abnormal enhancement in the optical conductivity of the double layer. The optical conductivity, which was modeled in accordance to Lorentz theory, displayed significant change in the free carrier density, the drift mobility, the electron collision time and the effective mass of GaSe upon binder coating. The maximum allowed displacement used in Monte Carlo simulation of any Nparticle system controls the convergence of the calculated potential energy to its physical situation. The optimum maximum allowed displacement associated with 50% acceptance rate is found. Since Lennard-Jones potential is a short range one, it is considered to be zero beyond some cut-off radius. The optimum dimensionless cut-off radius in the Lennard-Jones case is 2.5, which is used in simulations. An explicit mathematical formula for the optimum maximum allowed displacement as a function of both temperature and density is obtained. Several various mutations have been reported so far in the gene. Although many clinical complications of patients from the Middle East were described, the molecular basis of the disease was limited to some Tunisian and Palestinian patients. Direct molecular analysis represents the optimum approach to identify new patients or carriers of mutations in prenatal diagnosis since TAT is not expressed in chorionic villi or amniocytes. In the present study, an expanded molecular analysis of mutations in the TAT gene among new seven Palestinian tyrosinemia type II patients from six unrelated families is described. After sequencing the entire 12 exons and exon-intron boundaries of the gene, two mutations could be identified: a nonsense mutation, p. R417X, in two patients and a splicing mutation, p.T408T, among the other five patients. Six polymorphisms in the gene were also detected;three previously described including IVS11+143a>g, IVS8+113t>c, and p.S103S and three additional ones including g→t @-17, IVS7+84c>g, and IVS9-73g>t are described here. The p.T408T splicing mutation seems specific to the Palestinian RHS families since this nucleotide transversion was not reported in patients from other populations. Compost was inoculated with Azotobacter,Burkholderia and Azospirillum sp. each alone and all three together. Numbers of all N2-fixing bacteria in compost declined from an initial population of (5 x 10 cells/ g) during incubation. The population of Azotobacter declined to approximately (2 x 10cells/g) and the population of Burkholderia and Azospirillum declined to approximately (9 x10 and 4x 10 cells/ g) respectively, at day 40. Inoculation with N2-fixing bacteria increased acetylene reduction, total N by 5–15% and available P by 20–30% in comparison with the uninoculated control.
