The challenge regarding DMAPis the detachment of the tips from the baseplate.  This impacts the wearing time, the deliveryefficiency of the skin, and patient compliance. In our previous work, wereported the delivery of cabotegravir sodium (CAB Na), an anti-HIV drug, necessittingthe wearing time of more than 1 hour [1].Herein we developed strategies to reduce the wearing time of DMAP containingcabotegravir sodium from hours to 10 minutes by facilitating tip detachmentfrom the baseplate. ","PeriodicalId":239152,"journal":{"name":"2022 APS Special Issue","volume":"73 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130154623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The potential to develop an imaging analysis method to automatically detect agglomerations during dissolution testing has recently been explored. The stages of the method development were manual observation of pre-recorded videos from the dissolution testing, choice of parameters for agglomerate identification and 2-stage method validation (internal and external). This work presents the two main challenges faced during the agglomeration identification method (AIM) development a) attaining an optimal number of particle detections in a video frame and b) discerning different objects (e.g., air bubbles, single particles and agglomerates) based on their specifications.","PeriodicalId":239152,"journal":{"name":"2022 APS Special Issue","volume":"154 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122828061","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The differences in intrinsic dissolution were characterized through the estimation of a diffusion coefficient (D) of ibuprofen in different media with the Levich equation. Increasing viscosity decreased the intrinsic dissolution rate of ibuprofen with both VEAs. The calculated D from intrinsic dissolution data overestimated the experimental value, but the results suggest that intrinsic dissolution could be used as a tool to estimate a relative change in D in different viscosities. ","PeriodicalId":239152,"journal":{"name":"2022 APS Special Issue","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131156320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The event, the first face-to-face APS meeting since Greenwich in 2019, attracted 365 delegates of more than 20 nationalities. A key theme running through the conference was how innovation and teamwork in the pharmaceutical sciences, often across international boundaries, continue to drive the recovery of patients, healthcare organizations, the economy, and society to overcome the deleterious effects of the COVID-19pandemic.","PeriodicalId":239152,"journal":{"name":"2022 APS Special Issue","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123546021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
