En esta revisión bibliográfica se concluye que las buenas prácticas de los enfermeros en la manipulación del CVC conducirían a una reducción significativa de las tasas de infección asociadas a la manipulación del CVC y con ello se conseguirá además mejorar las tasas de efectividad de los tratamientos de los pacientes por vía central.\u0000 The number of central venous catheter-related infections in hospitals due to an inappropriate use is still a problem to nursing practice. According to the bibliographic review carried out, countless of CVC- based infections continue to be diagnosed. In this bibliographic review we concluded that good nurse practices in CVC manipulation would lead to a significant reduction in the infection rates associated with the manipulation of CVC. Es la manera estándar de monitorizar la presión intracraneal. Su uso es una práctica habitual en unidades de cuidados intensivos, en pacientes con alteraciones neurológicas, y está indicado como herramienta diagnóstica y terapéutica.\u0000 An external ventricular drainage (EVD) involves to insert a catheter into the frontal horn of the lateral ventricle of the non-dominant hemisphere whenever possible. It is a standard approach for monitoring intracranial pressure and the most common procedures in intensive care unit for neurocritical patients affected by different illnesses. La medición de la PIC en situaciones de urgencias intrahospitalarias es importante, pero debemos conocer la forma de disminuirla si sospechamos de la misma en el ámbito extrahospitalario, puesto que la medición no es tan viable. Hay gran diversidad de tratamientos, pero es interesante saber cuáles son los más efectivos para elegir adecuadamente en situaciones de urgencia y de esa forma disminuir el riesgo de Hipertensión intracraneal y de mortalidad\u0000 Justification: Intracranial Hypertension (ICH) is related to half of the deaths associated with traumatic brain injuries, such mortality increasing the higher the levels of intracranial pressure. The measurement of ICP in intrahospital emergency situations is important, but we must know how to reduce it if we suspect it in the extrahospital setting, since the measurement is not as viable. El aumento progresivo de la utilización de CPAP para el tratamiento del SAHS y los avances tecnológicos experimentados por las APAPs (AutoCPAP), permiten realizar un control remoto y reduce costes respecto a la titulación. Podemos exponer que, en general, la APAP nos aporta la información necesaria para realizar un buen manejo de los pacientes con SAHS, ajustando los parámetros, sin necesidad de titular a los pacientes en los centros sanitarios.\u0000 The appropriate treatment for SAHS (Sleep Apnea-Hypopnea Syndrome) is CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure), which has evolved to the onset of AutoCPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure automatic), with greater comfort and performance in the 90s. The progressive increase in the use of CPAP for the treatment of SAHS and technological advances experienced by APAPs (AutoCPAP), allow a remote control and reduces costs with respect to titling.
