The current state of these talents among college students is investigated quantitatively in this study. An examination into undergraduate and graduate students' perceived skills, demographic differences, and the congruence between self-assessment and real competences was conducted with the use of an online survey that included a broad cohort of students from different academic fields. The results highlight a disconnect between students' confidence in their ability to conduct internet research and their actual skills. The need for focused therapies that improve self-awareness and metacognition is highlighted by this incongruity. The survey finds fascinating demographic trends that show that there aren't many differences in digital literacy skills between men and women. On the other hand, differences in skill levels between academic majors imply that settings unique to a certain subject have an impact on digital aptitude. Both continuities and variations are shown by comparing these findings to earlier studies. Contrary to previous trends, there aren't any obvious gender-based discrepancies, which suggests that these divisions may become less evident in the area of digital literacy. Additionally, the gap in abilities between academic majors confirms previous research, emphasizing the importance of disciplinary specifics in defining digital competences. The findings of this study have significant ramifications for the higher education system. In order to effectively teach these abilities, institutions are encouraged to seamlessly integrate digital literacy education into their curricula by utilizing cutting-edge pedagogies and technology.","PeriodicalId":222416,"journal":{"name":"Interdisciplinary Journal Papier Human Review","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133040191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We quantitatively assess the effects of gamification on linguistic competence, motivation, engagement, and potential confounding variables using a mixed-methods approach. Language proficiency scores significantly increased between the pre- and post-testing phases, on average by 6.25 points, demonstrating the value of gamification in accelerating language learning. Gamification has the ability to increase intrinsic motivation and engagement, as evidenced by its high mean motivation scores (4.25), and engagement scores (4.12).  The results of the correlation study revealed a moderate link between \"Socioeconomic Status\" and post-test results (r = 0.28, p 0.05), suggesting the possible impact of socioeconomic background on academic results. This is consistent with studies by Sirin (2005) that highlights socioeconomic status as a factor of academic achievement. The findings highlight gamification's potential to transform educational environments, promote linguistic proficiency, and close educational gaps, highlighting the need for thorough implementation methodologies.","PeriodicalId":222416,"journal":{"name":"Interdisciplinary Journal Papier Human Review","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124153448","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A comparative analysis was performed in this study to determine the usefulness of different conversation formats in the context of cognitive development. The study used a quantitative technique to examine pre-test and post-test scores of individuals who participated in either synchronous or asynchronous talks. Qualitative insights were also collected via participant questionnaires and observation.  The findings demonstrated that both conversation approaches had the ability to improve critical thinking abilities, however the outcomes differed slightly. The pre-test results showed that participants in both groups had comparable baseline cognitive skills. However, the post-test results favored the synchronous group, with a mean score of 82.15 against 79.32 in the asynchronous group. This contrast highlighted the significance of real-time engagement in allowing for instant analysis and critical evaluation. Congruent with earlier research, synchronous dialogues emerged as a venue for deep cognitive involvement, harmonizing with ideas of social presence and active participation.  Asynchronous talks, on the other hand, provided flexibility by allowing learners to interact at their own speed, but with significantly reduced development. These findings have significance for educators, instructional designers, and institutions, directing the selection of discussion formats that are matched with intended pedagogical goals. The study adds to the conversation about online debates and critical thinking by giving a complete knowledge of their influence and emphasizing the importance of context in educational settings.","PeriodicalId":222416,"journal":{"name":"Interdisciplinary Journal Papier Human Review","volume":"180 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127586437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
