We implemented OpenMP and OpenCoarrays Fortran in conjunction with the statistical language R. We found that the OpenCoarrays is more effective when working with vectors, while OpenMP is better in the arena with large matrices in a geostatistics application. These results can be very useful for researchers with limited access to high performance tools or limited funding.","PeriodicalId":215339,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Computational Science and Information Technology","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128749104","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rough entropy was defined to measure the roughness of a rough set. Though, it was effective and useful, but not accurate enough. Some authors use information measure in place of entropy for better understanding which measures the amount of uncertainty contained in fuzzy rough set .In this paper three new fuzzy rough information measures are proposed and their validity is verified. The application of these proposed information measures in decision making problems is studied and also compared with other existing information measures.","PeriodicalId":215339,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Computational Science and Information Technology","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121609858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is based on several physical human characteristics but the most used technology is the fingerprint recognition, and since we must carry out an image processing to be able to exploit the data in each fingerprint we propose in this article an image preprocessing procedure in order to improve its quality before extracting the necessary information for the comparison phase.","PeriodicalId":215339,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Computational Science and Information Technology","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114730018","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
