The geographical condition of this village is dominated by rice fields, this causes most of the people to make a living as farmers. The community in this village is faced with several problems, namely the high economic level of the lower middle class and the low level of education. Until now, this village is still faced with problems in the field of education. One of them is the pattern of parents in educating their children which is done self-taught. That is, parents educate their children based on the experience they have gained, not based on educational knowledge. This will have an impact on the success of children in passing their developmental tasks. Educating with this pattern will make children not optimal in their growth and development. This community service program is to provide training to parents regarding how to recognize character and stimulate the development of early childhood learning (Parenting). The service method carried out is divided into three stages, namely, preparation, implementation and evaluation. The benefit generated by this program is that parents will gain knowledge and skills on how to help early childhood children grow and develop according to their potential through appropriate stimulation.","PeriodicalId":213680,"journal":{"name":"JoCS: Journal of Community Service","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128940372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The economy and finance are also one of the things that are important to support the survival of society, especially in microeconomics. The village of Wates Tanjung has a large area of land to generate finance. Not many people in the village pay attention to the potential of its natural resources. Lack of insight into the processing of natural materials around is one of the main factors for the lack of awareness and independence as well as skills in setting up a business. To increase creativity and willingness to set up a business, with the aim of assisting PKK cadres, a community service program was carried out with the delivery of materials and practices at the Village Hall. The purpose of this community service program is to provide insight into the use of natural ingredients, one of which is bamboo leaves so that they can be used as natural drinks that have health and economic value. After the presentation of the material and practice there was an interactive dialogue between the participants and the organizers. This program of mentoring activities for making bamboo leaf drinks received a positive response from the community in the Wates Tanjung Village Area. The majority of the villagers work as vegetable farmers. This is certainly a distinctive feature for a village. However, in living life, there are often old problems, namely the loss of local farmers due to harvests that are not always sold perfectly. Vegetables that do not last long and rot end up dumping organic waste into rivers. The existence of this activity in addition to harming the farmers also causes environmental problems that are polluted due to organic waste. Seeing this problem, the researcher took the initiative to find a solution in the form of cultivating Maggot Black Soldier Fly, which has the opportunity to create a new business worth rupiah and is useful in creating a healthy environment and avoiding disease. Meanwhile, the research method starts from the preparation stage where researchers conduct site surveys, interviews, and observations. Then it was continued at the implementation stage, namely the Maggot Black Soldier Fly cultivation process and ended in the mentoring stage, where the researchers held a workshop on Maggot cultivation tips as an effort to change the mindset of the Merchant Village community. In addition, the researchers also cooperated with the youth of the trading village to participate and care to deal with the problem of village organic waste","PeriodicalId":213680,"journal":{"name":"JoCS: Journal of Community Service","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128545952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
