{"title":"A Survey of the Major Satisfaction and College Adjustment of College Students Majoring in Occupational Therapy on Covid-19","authors":"J. Method: A total of 241 college students who will be majoring in occupational therapy in the capital area were used as the subjects and were given a survey. An analysis was conducted to frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, chi-squared test between the general characteristics of the major satisfaction and college adjustment. Results: The score for major satisfaction was 3.54, 3.28 for college adjustment. The major satisfaction was statistically related to the reasons for choice the major and the college, preferred class; college adjustment was statistically related to experience related to major, reasons for choice the major and the college, preferred class. Also, we found that major satisfaction of students was enrolled after Covid-19 was statistically higher than before Covid-19. Method: 128 patients who were hospitalized in Seoul-based Hospital A from January 2020 to December 2020 agreed to participate in the study and use personal information. Patients with a factor of less than 6 months of onset and berg balance scale (BBS) score of greater than or equal to severity (21 points or more) were measured balance and gait analysis test. In the patients, 30 patients in the general physical therapy group and 30 patients in the general physical therapy with the additional exoskeleton-controlled gait-assisting robot gait training group were selected and their balance and gait abilities were retrospectively compared and analyzed. Results: The RAGTG significantly improved compared to the CG in the A-P position and lateral sysmmetry evaluation in the balance ability, and in the cadence and stride length evaluation in the gait ability. Conclusion: Both groups showed statistically significant improvement in balance and gait and in particular, the group that received additional RAGTG improved more in A-P position, lateral symmetry, and cadence, stride length compared to the CG. Method: Among the workers of hospitals and clinics participating in the study, data of 566 regular and regular workers were analyzed. The data were analysed by Chi-squared test on the difference in education level and job satisfaction among hospital and clinic workers. To investigate the relationship between educational level differences and job satisfaction, multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed. All data were analyzed by using SPSS 25.0 WIN. Results: Compared to workers with a associate’s degree, workers with a greater than or equal to associate’s degree or higher were 1.68 times more likely to be satisfied with their job, and it was statistically significant (OR: 1.680, 95 % CI: 1.022 - 2.762). When adjusting for gender, age, working hours per week, and shift work, workers with a greater than or equal to bachelor's degree also had a 1.731 times more higher in job satisfaction significantly than those with a bachelor's degree (OR: 1.731, 95 % CI: 1.030 - 2.907). Conclusion: The results of study indicate that workers with a greater than or equal to bachelor's degree had higher job satisfaction than workers with a associate’s degree. {"title":"Effects of the Connection between Ayres SI Intervention and Home-Based SI on Sensory Processing, Interaction and Task Performance in Children with Developmental Delays","authors":"Su-Yoen Park, Bo Kang","doi":"10.31321/kmts.2022.14.1.25","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31321/kmts.2022.14.1.25","url":null,"abstract":"Objective: The research is to study the effects of children’s sensory processing, social interactions as well as occupational performance with applications of Ayres SI intervention and home-based SI on children with developmental delays. Method: Ayres SI intervention was administered for 50 minutes once a week for 10 weeks on 4 children aged 3-5 years with developmental delays. The home-based SI program was intervened based on the program provided by the therapist of the primary caregiver for at least 10 minutes per session three times a week for 10 weeks. The results were measured through the sensory profile(SP), evaluation of social interaction(ESI), and Canadian occupational performance measure(COPM). Results: The sensory profile evaluation showed changes from definite differences towards probable differences in the poor registration and inattention/distractibility categories among 9 factors. Also, the emotional reaction, fine motor/perception, sedentary tendency, and oral sensory sensitivity categories revealed shifting tendencies from probable differences to normal differences. In social interactions evaluation, 3 out of 4 children showed a meaningful change of 0.4 to 0.6 logits, COPM in performance, 2 out of 4 children showed significant improvement of 2.2 and 4.4 points before and after the intervention, respectively. In terms of satisfaction, one child showed an increase of more than 2 point from 4.8 points to 8.8 points after intervention. Methods: The participant was a 27 years old man diagnosed with C7/C7(s), C6/C6(m) incomplete tetraplegia ASIA-C. The patient performed developed modified bimanual massed practice with a total of 20 sessions, 30 minute 5 sessions per each week for 4 weeks modified according to domestic clinical setting. Results: The mean value of dynamometer on the right hand progressively improved through baseline A1(mean 2.96 kg), intervention B(mean 3.07 kg), baseline A2(mean 3.50 kg). And on the left hand, it also increased from B(mean 2.64 kg) to A2(mean 3.04 kg). In the Box and block test, the right hand improved from A1(47 unit) to B(52.55 unit) and maintained for A2, and the left hand improved through A1(46.4 unit), B(47.2 unit), and A2(49.8 unit). And the results of Assessment of Motor and Process skills showed that motor skills improved from before (0.0 logit) to after(0.7 logit), and process skills also improved from 0.7 logit to 1.0 logit. {"title":"Effects of Ganggangsullae on Self-Esteem in Severe-to-Profound Hearing Impaired Adolescents","authors":"J. An, S. For disabilities, dance is an important incentive to think positive and appreciate their value. The study aims to investigate the effect of dance rehabilitation using the dancing steps of Ganggangsullae, which develops balance, unity, sociality, and creativity for hearing impaired adolescents, on their self-esteem. Methods: 6 hearing impaired girls aging 11.8 to 17.6 years (14.7 ± 2.07) participated. Two of them had no dance class experiences, other two experiences, and the other two had aerobics exercise experiences. Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) was used for self-esteem. These tools were investigated at 8-week pre-/post-Ganggangsullae activity, and then the mean scores of respective responses were compared. Results: The mean scores of RSES improved from 2.87 ± 0.46 to 3.27 ± 0.46.
