Machico´s beach sand consists of a mixture of black volcanic sand and round basalt stones. Usually, it has clear waters and a quiet sea. This beach also has a mooring infrastructure, thus allowing access to the sea. To achieve this study's main goals, it was initially carried out an extensive review and bibliographic research. Subsequently, a sand beach and its shelter groins were simulated and designed to hypothetically promote the retention of the sand and mitigate the tidal effects. In addition to model the beach dynamics, an extensive characterization of the extreme maritime regime was performed. A descriptive memory, a set of project execution plans, the construction contract documents/special technical conditions, the corresponding budget, and the Health and Safety Plan, were elaborated to complement this project. Some final remarks and conclusions were then presented, as well as some future projects that should be developed to deepen the knowledge of its main subjects.","PeriodicalId":200887,"journal":{"name":"I South Florida Congress of Development","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116983316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The bioreactors and processes used today in microalgae cultivation are expensive or lack optimization to scale up. Furthermore, harvesting, concentrating and dewatering, while using a cheap and suitable photobioreactor are the main problems that we need to be overcome to achieve viability in the process. The Clay Ceramic Bioreactor (CCBR) was built using only clay and wood sawdust and was designed to grow an immobilized microalgal biofilm while having almost complete separation from the liquid culture medium, reducing the consumption of water and energy. Results showed that the wood sawdust particle size should be sifted in a mesh size 10 and mixed in a proportion of 33% of sawdust and 67% of red clay and a maximum firing temperature of 900oC. Maximum dry biomass production of 3.71 g.m-2.d-1 was achieved within 7 days of cultivation, with no CO2 addition and a low light intensity of 45 µmol.m?2.s?1. The biomass was harvested through simple scraping. Initial results indicate a great potential for the use of clay as substratum and further tests should be carried out to scale up and optimize microalgae production,","PeriodicalId":200887,"journal":{"name":"I South Florida Congress of Development","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121140276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The treatment is performed according to specific methods, to practice social interactions, emotions and basic activities of daily living. Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) are collaborating as a complement to existing methods practiced by psychologists/therapists. Thus, this research seeks, through literature review, to find out what are the gaps in this theme and to know the applications of AR and VR concerning the treatment of children with ASD at national and international levels. The method chosen was the systematic literature review (SLR) and the narrative literature review. The database used was Scopus, where 39 articles were obtained, revealing a gap due to the low number of results, and finally, after using the filters, 19 articles were analyzed. The result shows great potential for using the technologies mentioned in support of the allowed therapeutic methods, allowing the treatment to evolve more efficiently.","PeriodicalId":200887,"journal":{"name":"I South Florida Congress of Development","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128134436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study consisted of a bibliographic and field study, through the application of a quantitative methodology, through a structured questionnaire that was applied and a group of 50 randomly selected people. It was verified that most of the group of interviewees has knowledge about generic drugs, as well as their low costs; but reported that they receive information from unreliable sources, which state that the generic medication does not have the same efficacy as a reference drug. The research also related that public policy actions development lives by the Ministry of Health and health professionals are mental foundations for the popularization of generic products. It was possible to conclude that the actions of dissemination and education by health agencies should be continuous, since they have the purpose of informing the community and thus, contributing to the promotion of health, especially, of the low-income population.,","PeriodicalId":200887,"journal":{"name":"I South Florida Congress of Development","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131169711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At admission, the main author performed a lumbar puncture, and serological tests on the CSF to identify the causative agent were referred to a reference laboratory, which suggested that they be referred to the Central Laboratory - LACEN for suspecting the presence of agent Angionsytrongylis Canyonensis. Although, the identification of the causative agent is difficult to be detected and confirmed, this case report shows us the importance of the clinical laboratory in the identification of Eosinophilic Meningitis. The sub-detection of eosinophils in the CSF helps to underestimate the prevalence of eosinophilic meningitis. Thus, CSF analysis, slide preparation, sediment staining, as well as knowledge about the importance of adequate leukocyte differentiation in CSF are extremely important, to properly conduct the final diagnosis of the disease and prevent possible endemicity. The knowledge of this condition and early detection allows an effective therapy and improvement of public health actions. ? ?,","PeriodicalId":200887,"journal":{"name":"I South Florida Congress of Development","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115850765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
