Among the initiatives of the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) is to carry out a program with the concept of skills training and professional certification to help improve the marketability of graduates. This study focuses on the effectiveness of the Fiber Optic Cable Professional Certification Competency Course - Internal Network CA1C and External Network CA2C for prospective graduates in the Department of Electrical Engineering (JKE), Sultan Azlan Shah Polytechnic (PSAS). The three main objectives of this study are to see the effectiveness of the course on the professional certification results of students, identify the level of student knowledge after the course and identify the content of the course taught in accordance with the professional certification of Fiber Optic Cable - Internal Network CA1C and External Network CA2C. This study was conducted at JKE, PSAS by using a questionnaire instrument to 10 students who took this course in session 2: 2021/2022. The findings of the study found that 10 aligners passed and got the Fiber Optic Cable - Internal Network CA1C professional certification and 9 out of 10 students passed and got the External Network CA2C professional certification. More than 90% of students agree that their knowledge level increased after going through this course. Furthermore, the majority of students agree that the content of this course is very relevant to the professional certification they are pursuing.","PeriodicalId":185502,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Undergraduate Research","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128738383","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various online applications that have been developed in line with Industrial Revolution 4.0 and to facilitate the PdP process especially in the Final Year Project (FYP) course. FYP courses require students to access project-related information quickly and easily anywhere. Therefore, the EXTVT PROST DKA application has been developed for the purpose of facilitating the distribution of information between students, supervisors, coordinators and panels in addition to providing a platform in the search for reference sources for student projects. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the EXTVT PROST DKA application developed for the DCC40181 – Final Year Project, Civil Engineering Diploma course. The study respondents are semester four (4) students who took the DCC40181 course in the December 2020 Session, Session 1 2021/2022 and Session 2 2021/2022. The study uses an online questionnaire instrument provided through google form. This research instrument is divided into 3 parts namely application design, application usability and user satisfaction. The reliability test (Reliability Test) on 20 questionnaire items obtained a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.964. Then the evaluation of the application continues by distributing the questionnaire link to the students. The results of mean score analysis from 97 respondents found that all items were within the estimated mean score of 4.29 to 4.45. Overall, the study found that the EXTVT PROST DKA application was very helpful in the implementation of the Final Year Project among Civil Engineering Diploma students.","PeriodicalId":185502,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Undergraduate Research","volume":"132 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133976563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
