Many studies are carried out to understand the pathophysiology of this disorder and develop anti-seizure drugs. In animals, spontaneous epileptic attacks can be formed by various chemical stimuli and electrical stimulation methods, as well as genetic animal models to mimic the state of epileptic seizures. Providing animal models that are clinically similar to the model of epilepsy in humans is essential in understanding epilepsy and pharmacological studies.","PeriodicalId":165893,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Experimental and Basic Medical Sciences","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126526475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They should not be confused with reactions known as “food intolerance” where an allergen and hypersensitivity reaction are not involved. Food allergy can affect many organs and systems in the body. Itching, burning, redness, urticaria (hives), nasal obstruction, sneezing, watery eyes and anaphylaxis are the symptoms of general reaction. Contrary to popular belief, food allergy is a problem not only for children and adolescents but also for adults. The question of whether these reactions affecting many organs and systems is a direct cause or predisposition factor for psychiatric disorders has been the subject of many studies for many years. Major depressive disorder, bipolar personality disorder, panic attack, anxiety and social phobia are just a few of these diseases. Food allergy reduces the quality of life of the individual. Therefore the nutrients and allergic reactions they cause during the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases are of","PeriodicalId":165893,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Experimental and Basic Medical Sciences","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122800167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is diagnosed through behavioral questionnaires, parent, and doctor observations due to there are no biomarkers. The treatment is mostly carried out through education and behavioral interventions. Proven effective drugs of concomitant diseases can also be added to the treatment regimen if it is necessary. Nevertheless, recent studies have identified several compounds including arbaclofen, oxytocin, sulforaphane, and bumetanide that have an impact on the main symptoms of autism, such as social communication deficits and restrictive/repetitive behaviors. Bumetanide, a proven diuretic, is one of the most studied chemicals in the past decade. In this review; first, diagnosis of autism and tests used for it, are briefly explained, thereafter the pharmacological treatment approaches of autism, the targeted new treatment mechanisms, the association between intracellular chloride concentration with autism are mentioned respectively. After summarising the frequently used animal models, preclinical and clinical studies that focus on the effect of bumetanide, which is the center of this review, on autism were evaluated","PeriodicalId":165893,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Experimental and Basic Medical Sciences","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126148570","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
