Serangga memiliki berbagai peranan dalam agroekosistem meliputi serangga hama, polinator, predator, parasitoid, dan dekomposer. Monitoring serangga merupakan langkah awal yang dapat dilaksanakan guna mengetahui keragaman dan keberadaan serangga dalam suatu agroekosistem. Informasi mengenai keragaman serangga serta peranannya terhadap agroekosistem di kota Tasikmalaya masih sangat terbatas sehingga dirasa perlu untuk melaksanakan monitoring keragaman serangga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan pemasangan light trap pada 6 kecamatan berbeda di kota Tasikmalaya yaitu kecamatan Cihideung, Mangkubumi, Tawang, Tamansari, Kawalu, dan Cibeureum selama tiga hari. Serangga yang terperangkap kemudian diidentifikasi dan ditentukan peranannya terhadap agroekosistem. Berdasarkan hasil pemasangan perangkap dan identifikasi, didapatkan 15 spesies serangga berbeda. Sembilan spesies berperan sebagai hama: Drosophila spp., Oryctes rhinoceros, Lepidioma stigma, Leptocorisa acuta, Acanthocephala spp., Scirpophaga innotata, Helicoperva armigera, Spodoptera frugiperda, dan Spodoptera litura. Tiga spesies sebagai polinator: Anopheles spp., Musca domestica, dan Camponotus pennsylvanicus. Dua spesies sebagai predator: Paederus fuscipes dan Ortethrum sabina. Some hydroponic systems require high current expenses in particular for the electricity in order to circulate nutrient solution e.g. in the water culture system – deep flow technique (DFT) -. Electricity costs can be reduced by changing from continuous nutrient flow to intermittent nutrient flow. The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of interval nutrient flow on growth and yield of lettuce. The experiment was conducted in Cirebon from February to April 2018. The experiment was arranged by using randomized complete block design with four treatments: (i) continuous nutrient flow (control), intermittent nutrient flow (nutrient flow during (ii) 15 minutes, (iii) 30 minutes, and (iv) 45 minutes). For each intermittent treatment, the nutrient flow was interrupted for 60 minutes. Each treatment was repeated four times. The result showed nutrient flow interval affected to plant height, shoot diameter, and leaf area at 35 days after planting (DAP). Meanwhile, leaves number, root volume, and fresh weight of harvested crops were not significantly different in all nutrient interval treatments. The highest plant height and shoot diameter were detected in the treatment (ii) nutrient flow during 15 minutes and interruption for 60 minutes, the results were not significantly different to the control – continuous flow treatment. Perbanyakan bibit stroberi umumnya dilakukan dengan memisahkan stolon, namun teknik ini memiliki kelemahan karena bibit asal stolon rentan membawa penyakit dari indukan. Salah satu alternatif perbanyakan bibit stroberi adalah dengan cara menumbuhkan tanaman baru dari biji. Biji yang baik adalah yang memiliki viabilitas benih tinggi. Pemberian hormon eksogen seperti giberelin diduga mampu memperbaiki viabilitas benih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian hormon giberelin terhadap viabilitas benih stroberi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimental Rancangan Acak kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan berupa taraf hormon giberelin (0; 50; 100; 150 dan 200 ppm), yang direndamkan pada biji stroberi selama 2 x 24 jam. Variabel yang diamati adalah daya berkecambah (%), potensi tumbuh maksimum (%) dan index vigor (%). Hasil penelitian, menunjukan bahwa daya berkecambah dan index vigor perlakuan 100 ppm giberelin mencapai hasil tertinggi yaitu: 7,3 % dan 2,67 %. Penggunaan pupuk organik cair lamtoro dapat menjadi alternatif dalam menekan penggunaan pupuk anorganik dan memperbaiki kondisi lingkungan.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair lamtoro dan interval waktu aplikasi terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan dan Laboratorium Agronomi, Fakultas Pertanian dan Peternakan, UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan dua faktor, yakni konsentrasi pupuk organik cair lamtoro (0, 10, 20, 30%) dan interval waktu aplikasi (3, 6 dan 9 hari). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pupuk organik cair lamtoro dengan konsentrasi 10% efisien untuk meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, diameter batang dan jumlah buah per tanaman. Interval 9 hari memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan diameter batang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengendalikan  P. xylostella dengan M. anisopliae dalam mengurangi Intensitas Kerusakan  dan mempertahankan hasil Kubis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium jurusan Agroteknologi, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung dan  di Desa Sukarapih, Kecamatan Sukasari,  Kabupaten Sumedang dari bulan Januari sampai bulan mei 2017. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental berupa Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) sederhana dengan faktor kerapatan spora M. anisopliae. Penelitian terdiri dari  kontrolnegatif, kontrol positif, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, dan 1010 ml-1 aquades sehingga terdapat 8 perlakuan yang diulang 3 kali. Uji lanjut yang digunakan adalah Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan (UJBD) taraf 5%. Pengujian dilakukan pada larva P. xylostella dengan cara menyemrotkan suspensi spora M. anisopliae pada tanaman kubis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerapatan 1010 spora ml-1 memiliki  peresentasi intensitas kerusakan sebesar 3,12% dimana hasil persentase intensitas kerusakan yang dihasilkan lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya. Pada perlakuan kerapatan 1010 ml-1 spora berpengaruh juga terhadap pertumbuhan diameter krop kubis  dimana setiap minggunya meningkat, hal ini dapat dipengaruhi  karena pada perlakuan 1010 ml-1 spora intensitas kerusakan tanaman rendah sehingga berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan diameter krop kubis dan menghasilkan bobot segar kubis  dengan rata-rata sebesar 691,53 g tanaman-1. Food made from arrowroot flour has the advantage that is easy to digest up to very good for health. These plants are generally propagated vegetative, so it has a narrow genetic diversity. To increase the genetic diversity of arrowroot plants, gamma ray irradiation was performed at the Center for Radiation and Isotopes, BATAN, at a dose of 10 to 140 Gy with intervals of 10.  Analysis of morphological changes and the selection was done by observing the characteristic changes of the plant began generating plant shoots up to a maximum plant growth or plant produces flowers. The research objective was to determine the optimal dose of irradiation in determining the LD 50 for expanding the arrowroot plant genetic diversity. The method used was completely randomized design with 15 treatments and two replications.
