However, most of the research papers provide information, covering only one or very few parameters to describe the decrement of power and safety in the battery. It leaves aside a holistic and comprehensive study to critically evaluate performance in lithium-ion battery packs. This paper presents ten performance parameters with experiments and theory undertaken to understand the influence in power and safety in lithium-ion battery packs. The influence of performance parameters will provide and integrated approach to clearly identify the problems that induce decrement in performance and compromise safety in the battery. Comprehensive research of performance evaluation in electrification is nascent today, however, when the temperature and vibration parameters are critically reviewed, it has been found that a comprehensive effort is still required to evaluate the impact of vibration and temperature loads in the power performance and safety of lithium-ion battery packs for electric vehicles.","PeriodicalId":159662,"journal":{"name":"TESConf 2021: Maintenance","volume":"157 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133902675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Smaller machines, usually of discontinuous operating nature, are commonly categorized as auxiliary machines. This paper presents the research related to the analysis of auxiliary machine parameters with the case study for a hydraulic excavator. The purpose of the analysis was to develop a model of rating quality of service of the engineering system and with the aim of a systematic approach to asset management. The analysis included all relevant parameters of machine operation to aid the decision-making process during the next purchase. The method presented in this paper relies on Fuzzy theory and represents another approach to the analysis of existing data in addition to methods based on Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM).","PeriodicalId":159662,"journal":{"name":"TESConf 2021: Maintenance","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125531643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, the use of appropriate scheduled maintenance can help reducing operators’ risks, mainly through the reduction of the probability of failure or unwanted events in general. Different needs may result in deferring the maintenance activities both internal to the company (e.g. production needs) or external (e.g. the availability of spare parts or the personnel shortage, as for COVID19 pandemic). In case postponing the maintenance could be needed, it is essential to assess the risks associated with the delays, both on production and on the assets and operators’ safety. To help the companies in these assessments, this paper presents a rapid methodology to assess the risks associated to deferred maintenance. The proposed methodology is based on the use of Fuzzy logic.The methodology uses as parameters for risk assessment data related to: the delay in maintenance, the working conditions -including the amount of hours worked and operating conditions (temperature, severity of fluids, ...) -, the measures adopted to monitor the state of wear of the equipment and the consequences of unwanted events. The methodology returns an indication of the risk band associated with deferred maintenance.","PeriodicalId":159662,"journal":{"name":"TESConf 2021: Maintenance","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129317796","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, in the past, inter-organizational projects have shown shortcomings in effective decision-making and system integration due to an unilateral use of coordination mechanisms. The goal of this work is to provide an operationalization of the complexity-response framework for the Dutch railway project context, thereby extending the coordination mechanisms currently considered. To that end, we conducted design science research to operationalize the complexity-response framework based on an analysis of the specific inter-organization railway context, and evaluate its validity by means of follow-up discussions with project members. The operationalization of the framework can be used to capture and evaluate the coordination mechanisms employed, and identify potential matching coordination responses to the assessed railway system project complexities at the outset of the project. Further research is needed to assess the fit between the coordination responses applied and those proposed.","PeriodicalId":159662,"journal":{"name":"TESConf 2021: Maintenance","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121631659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several negative environmental impacts are associated with this, including contamination by oily residuals. The purpose was to diagnose oily residuals management in Cubans distributed generation power plants from a technological approach. Ten generating power plants from Cienfuegos territory were selected as a case study. A methodological procedure, supported in the general method of problem solving was designed. The environmental audit was used as a fundamental tool for the verification of technical requirements regarding the containment, collection, evacuation, treatment, and final disposal of oily waste. For deployment of causes identified as evidence of auditory, failures modes and effects analysis (FMEA) were used. Hydrocarbon concentrations at sampling points in the external environment frequently exceeded the threshold. Hydrocarbon spills, clogging and waste load increased in the treatment system, were the most frequent failure modes and could manifest themselves from the occurrence of more than 150 causes. From this group, a set of common causes inherent to each power plant was identified. A package of corrective actions was designed, which constituted conceptual ideas for improving environmental performance. The procedure was generalized to other power plants in the country, contributing to sustainability in the generation of electricity in Cuba.","PeriodicalId":159662,"journal":{"name":"TESConf 2021: Maintenance","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122815745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
