Hormonal contraception is very popular in Indonesia to avoid pregnancy. This study aimed to evaluate salivary volume and pH of woman who taking contraceptive pill and by injection. The design of study was a cross sectional . The subjects were 30 women, 20-35 years old, with the approval of ethical clearance from Ethic Comittee Medical Faculty of Gadjah Mada University. The subjects were divided into 3 groups (taking contraceptive pill, by contraceptive injection and control) that each group consisted of 10 women. The criteria of subjects were healthy, no orthodontic treatment, no prothesa or crown, and taking hormonal contraception more than 3 months. Saliva samples were collected in the afternoon (16.00-18.00 pm) for 1 minute using unstimulating method. Data analysis using ANOVA test (p<0,05). The results showed that there were significant differences in salivary pH and volume. Kim","doi":"10.1515/9783112588604-019","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1515/9783112588604-019","url":null,"abstract":"Although immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have shown promising results in the treatment of treating various malignancies, progress has been severely limited in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). ICIs are effective in a fraction of patients with microsatellite instability-high mCRC but have little clinical efficacy in patients with microsatellite stable (MSS) mCRC, which accounts for 95% of mCRC cases. MSS mCRCs are considered to have intrinsic resistance to ICI monotherapy through multiple mechanisms. 1) They are poorly immunogenic because of their low tumor mutation burden; 2) frequent activation of the WNT/β-catenin signaling pathway excludes intratumoral CD8+ T cell immunity; 3) the tumor microenvironment is immunosuppressive because of the presence of various immunosuppressive cells, including tumor-associated macrophages and regulatory T cells; and 4) frequent liver metastasis in MSS mCRC may reduce the efficacy of ICIs. To overcome these resistance mechanisms, combination approaches using various agents, including STING agonists, MEK inhibitors, VEGF/R inhibitors, WNT/β-catenin inhibitors, oncolytic viruses, and chemo/radiotherapy, are actively ongoing. Preliminary evidence of the efficacy of some has been shown in early clinical trials. However, these subgrid models have not been studied in a systematic fashion. Using a newly developed fast, parallel spherical overdensity halo finder built into the simulation code FLASH, we perform a suite of dark matter-only cosmological simulations to study the effects of subgrid model choice on relations between SMBH mass and dark matter halo mass and velocity dispersion. We examine three aspects of SMBH subgrid models: the choice of initial black hole seed mass, the test for merging two black holes, and the frequency of applying the subgrid model. We also examine the role that merging can play in determining the relations, ignoring the complicating effects of SMBH-driven accretion and feedback. We find that the choice of subgrid model can dramatically affect the black hole merger rate, the cosmic SMBH mass density, and the low-redshift relations to halo properties. As a possible solution to overcome these challenges and obstacles, precision agriculture has emerged in recent years. Among the promising solutions that precision agriculture offers, is the use of edge computing devices for monitoring and acquiring data in the rural environment, processing information locally and in real time. Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence, more specifically referred to as Deep Learning, have also being applied recently in agriculture for different tasks such as image classification, object detection and semantic segmentation. However, there is a challenge and limitation in transferring this technology to more affordable platforms to process large quantities of data. Therefore, in this work, we explored the use of Computer Vision and Deep Learning applied to the object detection task in edge devices, specifically the Raspberry PI 4 platform, without hardware acceleration. We decided to apply this methodology for weed detection, since weeds are currently one of the pests that result in greatest loss of productivity in agriculture, and also have rapidly developed resistance to commercial herbicides. Also, in order to evaluate the performance gain for real-time weed detection on the Raspberry Pi platform, quantizaion of the deep neural network architectures using TensorFlow Lite was tested.
