This type of research is qualitative research. The data in the research is in the form of oral speech data in the form of words, phrases, clauses or sentences contained in the speech of children aged 3-5 years. The data collection technique is done through listening techniques, recording techniques, note-taking techniques, and transliteration. The result of the study reveals that the use of deixis in children aged 3-5 years in Antang Makassar landfill settlement includes three types of deixis namely persona deixis, place deixis, and time deixis. The use of persona deixis in children aged 3-5 years in Antang Makassar landfill settlement found first person singular deixis in the form of the word \"I\", \"-ku\", (ka, ja) meaning \"me\" and first person plural deixis in the form of the word \"we\". The second person singular deixis is \"you\", (ko, ki) meaning \"you\". The third person singular deixis is the word (he, she, her). The use of place deixis of 3-5 years old children in Antang Makassar landfill settlement is (here, there, above, there, here, there, this, that, di-, ke-). This type of research is classified as qualitative research, which is analysed descriptively. The data in this study are the utterances used by early childhood while playing in the home and school environment. The key instrument and used tools in the form of videos and cameras. The source of data in this study is class B students of Hilmawan Kindergarten, Takalar Regency with 23 students. This research data is data obtained from the results of observations and interviews of researchers on students of Hilmawan Kindergarten, Takalar Regency. The results show that the use of language in early childhood in Bulukunyi Village, Polongbangkengeng Selatan District, Takalar Regency uses two languages, namely Makassar language and Indonesian language which is called code mix. This research is a type of Quantitative research. The research design used in this research is One-Group Prestest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Makassar totalling 428 students. The sampling used was simple random sampling technique. The sample in this study amounted to 50 students. The data collection technique in this study was a description test technique. The collected data were analysed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the students' pretest showed an average score of 50.10 in the poor category and the posttest with an average score of 81.70 in the good category. Based on the results of the Wicoxon Nonparametric test, the results of the pretest and posttest data analysis show that the sig value of 0.000 <0.05 is obtained, so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The research data was obtained from interviews with teachers, observations and distributing questionnaires to 29 grade V students. Based on the results of interviews and observations, it was found that the form of literacy programme used is reading-writing literacy and its application has three stages, namely the habituation stage, the development stage, and the learning stage. In the habituation stage, students are accustomed to reading or being read books other than textbooks, then discussion activities are carried out related to the books read. At the development stage, literacy implementation is carried out with the aim of consolidating students' interest in reading and increasing students' understanding. At the learning stage, students have been able to capture and re-explain the material provided well. The approach in this research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, the data source is the XII grade Indonesian language teacher. Data collection techniques in this research are recording techniques and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the grade XII Indonesian language teacher had implemented verbal form of reinforcement in Indonesian language learning and nonverbal form in Indonesian language learning. The research design used is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research are texts (words and sentences containing commissive and declarative illocutionary speech acts). The data collection technique was obtained by using reading method and note-taking technique. Data analysis technique is done by identifying, classifying, and describing. Based on John R. Searle's theory, the result shows that there are commissive and declarative illocutionary speech acts in the novel Orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata. Commissive illocutionary speech acts include representative acts, namely: promise, threaten, swear, offer, plan, obligation. Declarative acts, namely: naming, pointing, deciding, cancelling, prohibiting, allowing, and forgiving.
