It is a recent trend in the development and growth of library. Using of e-Granthlaya, Library Automation of has changed the library operation and its functionality in to a fast to faster mode. Clients need not to visit shelf to shelf to find out a document. They just get their documents sitting in front of a desktop. e-Granthalaya is a Library Management Software facilitates to automate not only the in-house activities of the library but also the user services .Automation has eliminated the man power. It is providing automatic service. Now every Government institution has setup library internally as a service and resource centre which meets the information need of the staff for efficiently performing their duties. It converted to a Knowledge Base Centre by implementing ICT tools and technologies. NIC has taken initiative to computerize Indian Libraries by implementing e-Granthalaya software Here this article will discuss about the concept of automation, its requirement and various components helps to automate library. A brief dissection has undergone about software package which are available for automation purposes.","PeriodicalId":13997,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovative Knowledge Concepts","volume":"14 1","pages":"40-44"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79053979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Effective use of the FHWs was considered instrumental in the provision of Primary health care(PHC) and the potency of FHW was recognized to be essential to achieve the targets of MDG. FHWs consists of a wide range of health workers such as CHWs, Mid-level care providers, Physician-assistants, Nurses, Doctors etc., who are most of the time the first level contact of the health system to the people, majorly engaged in provision of PHC and the services focussing on disease prevention and health promotion. Unlike the most of FHWs the CHWs are the group of FHWs whose potency is greatly explored and well documented since there conception in 1950’s as barefoot doctors in china. FHWs by itself is a wide area of research and this review does not talk much about already well known areas in frontline health workers. The review is split in to two parts with first part talking about the theoretical perspectives in-terms of FHWs and second part talks about operational challenges. First part focuses much on other theoretical concepts in FHWs such as Task-shifting, Public-health nurses and mid-level care providers etc., which are not very much known, compared to their counter parts and majority of the times ignored. The second part of the review has its emphasis on the prime operational challenges which are faced by the FHWs. By summing-up the majority of literature related to the different theoretical concepts in the area of FHW it reflects on the options available to provide efficient health care to the underserved populations and the challenges being faced while dealing with FHWs. It could be helpful in guiding the planning and implementation of sustainable, holistic and cost effective interventions to provide universal PHC.","PeriodicalId":13997,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovative Knowledge Concepts","volume":"69 1","pages":"39-44"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74623682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The primary objective of this study is to examine the relationship between ISO 9000 certification and the levels of total quality management practices of medium and large manufacturing firms in Ethiopia. The design of this research has quantitative approach. Both ISO9000 certified and noncertified firms are included in the survey. From 300 sampled medium and large manufacturing firms a total of 122 valid responses were received. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis such as mean and standard deviation.Inferential statistics was done through T-test.The findings indicate that ISO 9000 certified companies show higher levels of total quality management practices in top management leadership, supply quality management, process management and continuous improvement. Furthermore, the study concludes that when ISO 9000 and TQM are implemented simultaneously, the subsequent benefits to the company are better than those experienced if TQM were implemented in separation.","PeriodicalId":13997,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Innovative Knowledge Concepts","volume":"55 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91334339","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
