La evolución geológica del Delta del Ebro El Delta del Ebro se halla situado en el Mediterráneo, en NE de la Península Ibérica (sur de Cataluña). Su formación ha sido resultado de la interacción del mar y del Ebro, un río que con sus 910 km de longitud drena una cuenca de unos 85.362 km2. Sus características dependen de los diferentes regímenes climáticos de su extensa cuenca, lo que explica la complejidad de su régimen. En condiciones naturales el caudal del río sería de unos 577 m3/s (18.211 hm3 anuales), siempre con una enorme irregularidad estacional y anual, aunque actualmente es de unos 312 m3/s (9.868 hm3), reducción causada por los diferentes usos del agua realizados en su cuenca, especialmente los agrícolas. Asimismo, aunque se mantiene la irregularidad, la regulación de la cuenca por medio de grandes presas ha hecho que se atenúe esta característica. Un efecto secundario de la regulación ha sido la disminución de los sedimentos que llegan al Delta. El origen del actual Delta se remonta a hace unos cuatro milenios, cuando el mar se estabilizó en el nivel actual, aunque podemos distinguir unos prodeltas sumergidos que se corresponden con estabilizaciones anteriores.2 Esta explicación contrasta con la mantenida tradicionalmente desde la historiografía y que aún se puede encontrar en obras de este tipo, según la cual el Delta se habría formado en un proceso rápido y lineal en los últimos mil o dos mil años.3 Un análisis más detallado de los datos historiográficos confirma la teoría geológica, con lo que en el último milenio lo que se produjo fueron una serie de cambios morfológicos mediante la formación y erosión de tres desembocaduras: la sur (siglos XII‐XIV); la norte (siglos XIV‐XVII); y la actual (a partir de finales del siglo XVII). Cada cambio de desembocadura comportaba dos fenómenos paralelos: una rápida progradación hasta que el frente deltaico se adentraba varios kilómetros en el mar; y una rápida regresión del lóbulo abandonado, que desaparecía con todo lo que hubiese en él. Así, el lóbulo sur se adentró un mínimo de unos 5 km respecto a la playa actual mientras que el lóbulo norte se adentró unos 3 km.4 Paralelamente,","PeriodicalId":132357,"journal":{"name":"Parlez-vous maths ?","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126658526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various mechanisms have been proposed to explain the broad distribution of spin-orbit angles among exoplanets, and these theories fall under two broad categories. The first is based on dynamical interactions in a multi-body system, while the other assumes that disk migration is the driving mechanism in planetary configuration and that the star (or disk) is titled with respect to the planetary plane. Here we show that the large observed obliquity of Kepler 56 system is consistent with a dynamical origin. In addition, we use observations by Huber et al. to derive the obliquity’s probability distribution function, thus improving the constrained lower limit. The outer planet may be the cause of the inner planets’ large obliquities, and we give the probability distribution function of its inclination, which depends on the initial orbital configuration of the planetary system. We show that even in the presence of precise measurement of the true obliquity, one cannot distinguish the initial configurations. Finally we consider the fate of the system as the star continues to evolve beyond the main sequence, and we find that the obliquity of the system will not undergo major variations as the star climbs the red giant branch. We follow the evolution of the system and find that the innermost planet will be engulfed in ∼129 Myr. Furthermore we put an upper limit of ∼155 Myr for the engulfment of the second planet. This corresponds to ∼3% of the current age of the star. Near Infrared Reflectance (NIR) and Transmission (NIT) Spectroscopy have been previously used for the analyses of fish carcasses (Gjerde and Mathias. 1987; Valdes et al.. 1989 and Downey. 1995). NIR was applied to measure percent fat, protein and moisture in fish samples used for food in zoological institutions. Fish samples were collected from 1992 to 1996 at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), and samples were obtained froze (-30° C) from various distributors and included a total of 68 samples (16 herring, 4 whitebait, 12 capelin, 6 mackerel, 6 squid, 13 trout, 2 pollock and 7 smelt, 2 sardines). The 68 samples were analyzed within one month from arrival for percent protein, fat and moisture at the Zoo Nutrition Center of the WCS. Fish samples were thawed in a refrigerator overnight and ground in a food processor (Kenmore Short Order ll, Sears, Roebuck Co, Chicago, IL, 60684). Sub-samples were weighed, freeze-dried (Virtis Model 10-MRTR Gardiner. N. Y, 12525) and percent moisture was calculated. The dried samples were then ground using a mill (Braun, commercial coffee grinder). Crude fat and crude protein were determined using AOAC methodology for meat (Ellis. 1984). Fat was determined by extraction of samples with petroleum ether, and protein was analyzed using a macro-Kjeldhal method with a copper catalyst and calculated as total nitrogen x 6.25. After the chemical analyses were completed, the dried ground samples were shipped to the Metro Toronto Zoo where NIR calibrations were developed.","PeriodicalId":132357,"journal":{"name":"Parlez-vous maths ?","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1923-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130277129","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
