En la isla también viven los piratas liderados por el Capitán Garfio, a quien Peter cortó la mano y se la dio a comer a un cocodrilo que lo persigue desde entonces. Al llegar, los niños construyen encantados una casa para Wendy, que ejerce su papel de madre amorosa, contando cuentos, dando medicinas y poniendo normas. Tras varias aventuras en la isla, Garfio captura a los niños justo cuando Wendy los había convencido, con el enfado de Peter, para volver y ser adoptados por su familia.
