According to the figures released by UNESCO, some 1.3 billion learners around the world were not able to attend school or university. With an astounding 1.53 billion students out of education and 184 country-wide school closures, it's impacted 87.6% of the world’s total registered students. This study seeks to provide insight into the most effective flexible pedagogical tool, especially in the context of South Asia Business Schools. Indeed, the use of resourceful pedagogical tools is vital in developing key 21st-century employability skills among business students. In order to ensure that organizations have the right skills to support and sustain their hard-earned success, and people have a relevant set of skills they need to be both employable and individually fulfilled. Since the global economy has made largely extinct the idea of a ‘job for life’. The new norm is employability for life. Given these facts, a single case study was selected for this study; an online university that provides flexible learning to students in Pakistan and overseas via satellite TV, moderate discussion boards, recorded lectures, and one-to-one with the tutors, was used as the case. The study critically reviewed students (the end users) and academics (the service providers') perspectives on the issue of pedagogical tools. Both data strands agreed that case studies, class debates, lectures, lecture notes, PowerPoint presentations, group projects, reading, homework, multiple-choice questions, essays, and term papers are effective flexible learning tools for the development of 21st-century skills or in gaining employability for life values.","PeriodicalId":130277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sustainable Approach to Education Practice","volume":"os-1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127759421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ‘service provision’ is known generically as the ‘students support department’ and is argued to provide a more effective means of engagement between the learning process of Pg courses and students. The study is underpinned by the conceptual model proposed by Parasuraman et al. (1995), where it was proposed: A Multiple - Item Scale for Measuring Service User Perceptions of Service Quality. The argument proposed in this research project is that non-teaching services currently delivered by alternative providers of higher education are subject to many shortcomings. In a refinement of the SEVQUAL model, the study showed that there was a low level of student satisfaction with the current level of non-teaching services delivered at the alternative institutions; on all the key service dimensions to reduce the existing gap between expectation and service encountered. The current study argues that a new approach is needed to improve and sustain a positive learning experience for Pg students through the effective delivery of non-teaching services. For this study, the service gap is assessed as the average perception score (APS), perceived service, minus average expectation score (AES); students’ expectations from the alternative providers, and the difference is the service gap (SG). The service dimension gap equation is (1) ASP – AES = SG (1.90708 - 2.7559 = - 0. 84882). The results reveal that the overall perceived service quality is low with a value of (-0.8415), with students’ expectations score of 2.7559, and a perception score of (1.90708). While the overall service gap at Pg school is (- 0. 84882). The respondents’ overall level of service quality shows that the median gap is (– 0.6942), with a gap of (-1.53) for most students sampled. It means that the level of service encountered during the programme is lower than what learners expected; as a result, there is a low level of satisfaction with the overall service quality provided by the non-teaching staff. The study concludes that alternative providers need to invest more in non-teaching systems and processes. For instance, in the development of personnel at the front desk and management levels, for a better understanding of students’ learning needs and demands. Also, leverage technology for improved and sustained service delivery through investment in critical learning infrastructures. The findings present empirical data for regulators, senior managers, academia, and students; it would be informative and educative for the service providers (university), and service users (Pg students), who demand improved quality in all aspects of the non-teaching service assessed. The study recommends continual review and enhancement to sustain the development process of the core elements; knowledge, skills, and behaviors (KSBs), in the ","PeriodicalId":130277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sustainable Approach to Education Practice","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124913383","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this effect, this study seeks to critically review ‘entrepreneurship and entrepreneur’. In order to gain a better understanding of these phenomena, a single research question was posed for this study:- Are there any justifications for the UK government not leveraging on entrepreneurship pedagogy for the development of employability for life? To ensure that organizations have the right skills to support and sustain their hard-earned success, and people have a relevant set of skills they need to be both employable and individually fulfilled. Since the global economy has made largely extinct the idea of a ‘job for life’. The new norm is ‘employability for life’. In this review, the discussion on employability for life would be an assessment of the abilities and attributes that can help individuals create a rewarding business in the modern marketplace. These are the skills that today's entrepreneurs should possess. The review concludes that the increase we are noticing in human capital development during, and post-global pandemic is a deliberate government effort through SME-friendly policies that allow for entrepreneurial activities, supported by business loans for small and minimum-size businesses across the country, ensuing in the establishment of new enterprises. These targeted policies have made provisions for individuals to engage in acts that would allow for human capital development and economic prosperity","PeriodicalId":130277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sustainable Approach to Education Practice","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130489822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The willingness of an individual to engage in the creation of a commercial venture, linking ‘ideas to action’ is known as entrepreneurial intentions. This is the commencement of an entrepreneurship journey and a firm antecedent of entrepreneurial traits which underpin succeeding actions. From a psychological perspective, there is a need to better understand an entrepreneur’s mindset and traits, in contrast, to that of the economic perception which emphasises the person’s ability to be innovative. Psychologists’ point of view explains the importance of understanding individual personality and behaviour in recognizing opportunities, and this is what entrepreneurial impetus is all about. The mindset of an entrepreneur plays a role in the thinking process of business formation. Trait theory approaches the concept of entrepreneurs from the view that they have a set of inherent characteristics. It is established in this review that the mindset of entrepreneurs (values, beliefs, and behaviors), what they do, having the ability to (identify opportunities), with creative and innovative capabilities to take an inherent risk and start a new venture.","PeriodicalId":130277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sustainable Approach to Education Practice","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131961653","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research project seeks to explore and better understand the lived experience of the academic staff and undergraduate learner perspectives on the influence of learning culture on the effectiveness of different pedagogical tools within management schools. The study was conducted in four different parts of the world (the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and Pakistan), which are unique in their learning cultures and styles. Therefore, it is important to examine the literature to investigate the influence of learning culture on the effective delivery of various pedagogical tools. The research revealed that lectures, PowerPoint presentations (PPTs), lecture notes, class debates, group projects, role play, case studies, internships, guest speakers, mentoring, technology-embedded devices (mobile phone, gaming, simulation, virtual learning environment VLE), multiple choice questions, and reading and writing remained one most effective pedagogical tool but their application is varied throughout four business schools due to the cultural perception of academics and students. The influence of learning culture on the effectiveness of pedagogical tools was found to be challenging. Learning was found to be associated with the values, beliefs, and attitudes that an individual holds and supports.","PeriodicalId":130277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sustainable Approach to Education Practice","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130261624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
