With Pitsupai we designed an environment that allows to create collaboratively simple games or game prototypes with a minimal effort, without the need to be a professional game developer. To facilitate collaborative work, our authoring tool uses a scripting language for easy programming and animation in the virtual world and provides awareness aspects - information regarding the whereabouts and current activities of the other participants. Scripts can be edited from within the running virtual world without the need for stopping or restarting it.","PeriodicalId":113843,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Creating, Connecting and Collaborating through Computing","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126870092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its origins go back to Ward Cunningham's Wiki and its Squeak variant, the Swiki. It provides a place to share and edit web pages, files, and, in case of the SuperSwiki, Squeak projects. The concept of a (Super)Swiki lends itself very well to facilitate collaboration in the classroom, on a campus or even across the internet. It is easy to setup and all that is needed on the client side is a web browser (and Squeak). This paper will illustrate some of the key ideas behind SuperSwikis, how to run and use them and point to some of the existing installations.","PeriodicalId":113843,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Creating, Connecting and Collaborating through Computing","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121488512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This problem is aggravated when geographically dispersed teams need to collaborate on development artifacts. CodeTalk allows developers to have conversations about source code elements. They can mark code sections they are concerned about and annotate them. These annotations provide entry points for an informal discourse about the strengths and weaknesses of these sections and developers can work towards a conclusion on how to proceed on the raised issues. A Squeak/Smalltalk implementation of CodeTalk was evaluated by several small development teams, indicating improvement in the informal assessment of code.","PeriodicalId":113843,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Creating, Connecting and Collaborating through Computing","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124338006","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Estaba casado con Therese Le Vaisseau y, a pesar de su fama, tenía un perfil discreto que no iba acorde con la agitada vida parisina. Por eso, cuando el matrimonio recibió la invitación de Madame d’Épinay a pasar una temporada en su casa en el valle de Montmorency, al norte de Francia, aceptaron de inmediato y se alejaron de la capital. Permanecieron ahí un año y en el transcurso de ese tiempo, el filósofo conoció a Sophie, la amante de su amigo el poeta JeanFrançois Saint-Lambert. Rousseau la describió como una mujer de treinta años no tan hermosa, pero atractiva. Salían a caminar juntos por el campo y gozaban de la mutua compañía y de largas conversaciones. Sophie comenzó a visitar más frecuentemente a Rousseau, a pesar de no estar realmente interesada en él, y estos encuentros hicieron que el filósofo se prendara de ella y le enviara cartas declarándole su amor. Pero Sophie, si bien agradeció sus atenciones, no sentía lo mismo por él. A pesar de la negativa, Rousseau declararía años después, en su libro Las confesiones, que Sophie d’Houdetot fue el gran amor de su vida.","PeriodicalId":113843,"journal":{"name":"Conference on Creating, Connecting and Collaborating through Computing","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127692598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
