Congestion control mechanisms in TCP allow a reliable flow of bursty traffic. This paper investigates the response of TCP-Tahoe connection to the location of bottleneck link on working path. Further analysis is performed for different size of current TCP window in the network. The network under consideration is NSFNET (National Science Foundation Network). Impact of the location of bottleneck link is analyzed for all the links on working path. Using the results obtained, it is observed that for current window size of 50 and 100 packets, network throughput is maximum when the position of bottleneck link is nearest to the destination node of working path. As window size is increased to 150, 200, 250, 300, 400 packets, maximum throughput is obtained when bottleneck link is located nearest to the source node. The present analysis provides an understanding of current window size selection and routing path to be adopted if bottleneck link in the network is pre-estimated.","PeriodicalId":369524,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Computing and Informatics (ICICI)","volume":"102 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122249787","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An automatic insect detection system using machine vision and image analysis provides better identification of crop insects on early stage with reduced time and greater accuracy which helps farmers to increase the crop yield. In the present work, digital image processing techniques were applied for crop insects images to perform preprocessing, segmentation and feature extraction to detect the shape of insects in the sugarcane crop. Sobel edge detection is applied to segment the insect image against background. In feature extraction, shape of the insect can be recognized by nine geometric shape features. This insect shape identification method performs well and achieves high accuracy for sugarcane crop insects with round (circle), oval, triangle and rectangle shapes. The present work was implemented in MATLAB 2015b using Image Processing Toolbox.","PeriodicalId":369524,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Computing and Informatics (ICICI)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124402307","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reconfigurable antenna is one of important aspect in cognitive radio systems along with sensing antennas. The frequency reconfigurable antenna is designed using microstrip patch antenna having reconfigurable filter. Overall dimension of antenna is 26 mm × 28 mm. Reconfigurable filter consist of PIN diodes as switches. In total four PIN diodes are used at two different places. One above the substrate and other three are incorporated with horizontal slot created in ground plane. By varying the slot length and electrical length of patch using different switching condition, different resonant frequencies achieved without changing the size of the antenna. FR4 epoxy substrate is used having relative permittivity of 4.4+0.088i and 1.6mm thickness. Here, in this proposed antenna twelve reconfigurable frequencies are attained using eight switching condition. The frequency bands of the antenna are varied from 2.76 GHz to 8 GHz. The antenna operates in both single band mode as well as multi band mode by changing the state of the PIN diode. For each case reflection coefficient should maintain less than −10 dB throughout the operating frequency. Antenna analysis is done using software HFSS.","PeriodicalId":369524,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Computing and Informatics (ICICI)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131676955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the population of the old age people is increasing at a higher rate and will also increase at a higher rate in the future the early prediction as well as early diagnosis of the Parkinson's disease become a do or die situation for many developed countries. With the advent of the wearable device and some intelligent data mining approach the research related to Parkinson's disease has increasing at a higher rate throughout the world. As these disease affect most of the human body parts it is difficult for so many clinicians which part of the body should analyzed to get early detection of the disease. Lot of research has been done in different context related to Parkinson's disease a summarization of this topic using manual approach text long time. So to get the important information with the short time, in this paper a text mining based approach has been implemented to a group of texts related to PD that includes only abstracts of papers published in the last three years (2014–2017). We have used some visualization approach to highlight the relationship between gait-Parkinson's disease from the PD based research articles. This analysis will help the clinicians to judge the bonding between them and put focus on them based on the bonding.","PeriodicalId":369524,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Computing and Informatics (ICICI)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132029465","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Biometrics is rather adopted and used widely as a promising authentication method due to its advantages in resisting to losses incurred by theft of passwords and smart cards. However, biometrics is a challenging area which introduces privacy concern. In this paper, Finger vein recognition is considered for Biometric authentication system. This is one among many kinds of biometrics used and to verify the identity. The proposed framework gets the finger-vein and finger-texture images at a time. Camera is used to obtain the finger vein and finger texture images. The utility of low-determination finger vein and finger texture images is analyzed to learn the coordinating execution. The low determination images are improved by joining the upgrade strategy Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) and middle filter. The division of Region Of Interest (ROI) at various determination levels and the pivot interpretations makes the framework profoundly proficient. This paper presents a recognizable method Gabor Filter for highlight extraction handle which enhances the general exactness of the framework. The entire list of capabilities is enlightening in nature and lessens the Equal Error Rate. In this paper a Level shifter is design to mitigate power consumption in System-on-Chips (SoCs) by applying proper technique to reduces additional power consumption and propagation delay in the circuit. In this research paper, the power and speed of CNT-FET based level shifters at 32-nm technology is calculated. It can increase the overall performance of the circuit by optimising the parameter like chirality, diameter, number of nanotubes and substrate (back gate) bias for both feedback-based and multi-VTH based level shifters. With scaling of VTH sub-threshold leakage power increases exponentially and it is expected to become the significant part of total power consumption. In this paper, our proposed circuit provides amplification of signal by applying input 0.2V and shift the level to 0.9V without degradation of logic level of the signal. As a result, the overall Power Delay Product (PDP) is minimized up to 0.1078 aJ. By applying back gate bias in DCVS-LS PDP is increased to 0.1433 aJ because the VTH of transistor increases.","PeriodicalId":369524,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Inventive Computing and Informatics (ICICI)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132345477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
