Scientia Horticulturae

Scientia Horticulturae is an international journal publishing research related to horticultural crops. Articles in the journal deal with open or protected production of vegetables, fruits, edible fungi and ornamentals under temperate, subtropical and tropical conditions. Papers in related areas (biochemistry, micropropagation, soil science, plant breeding, plant physiology, phytopathology, etc.) are considered, if they contain information of direct significance to horticulture. Papers on the technical aspects of horticulture (engineering, crop processing, storage, transport etc.) are accepted for publication only if they relate directly to the living product. In the case of plantation crops, those yielding a product that may be used fresh (e.g. tropical vegetables, citrus, bananas, and other fruits) will be considered, while those papers describing the processing of the product (e.g. rubber, tobacco, and quinine) will not. The scope of the journal includes all horticultural crops but does not include speciality crops such as, medicinal crops or forestry crops, such as bamboo. Basic molecular studies without any direct application in horticulture will not be considered for this journal.

Scientia Horticulturae 是一本国际期刊，发表与园艺作物相关的研究。期刊上的文章涉及在温带、亚热带和热带条件下开放或保护地生产蔬菜、水果、食用菌和观赏植物。如果相关领域（生物化学、微繁殖、土壤科学、植物育种、植物生理学、植物病理学等）的论文包含与园艺直接相关的信息，则将予以考虑。园艺技术方面（工程、作物加工、储存、运输等）的论文只有与活体产品直接相关时才会被接受发表。对于种植作物，那些可以生产新鲜产品的作物（例如热带蔬菜、柑橘、香蕉和其他水果）将被考虑，而那些描述产品加工的论文（例如橡胶、烟草和奎宁）则不会被考虑。本期刊的收录范围包括所有园艺作物，但不包括特殊作物，如药用作物或林业作物（如竹子）。本期刊不考虑在园艺中没有直接应用的基础分子研究。
