[Contamination of human fat from Rostock residents with DDT and polychlorinated biphenyls in 1979)].
70 fat samples collected from Rostock men and women, aged between 20 and 90 years, were analysed by gas chromatography for total DDT and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB). It was found that the mean value for DDT and also that for PCB increased with the increase in age, the mean values for all the subjects being 4.0 +/- 0.5 mg/kg (PCB). There were no statistically significant differences among the residue values found in men and women.
