In the lecture, the students propose solutions to problems related to local area by fabricating prototypes using their electrical and information engineering skills based on investigation of real society. For example, the students have developed a special controller for electric wheel chair with support from Maizuru Rehabilitation Center for Crippled Children. Because the five-year course education system of NIT makes it possible for the students to develop advanced electronic devices and software for practical use, the prototypes fabricated by them actually contribute to solving the problems related to local area.
