Abstract
Nanoluminophores
are promising candidates for monochromatic
emission;
however, the commercial and quantitative applications of nanoluminophores
are hindered by their undefined molar mass, limited storage stability,
and lack of reproducibility in fabrication. Here, we propose a 1,4-boron–nitrogen
(1,4-BN)-embedded multiresonance structure (CzBNs) to design molecular
luminophores with electrochemiluminescence (ECL) emission tunable
in waveband and monochromaticity, which is comparable to the ECL luminophores
of deliberately designed nanomaterials and superior to the commercial
ECL luminophores based on conventional molecules. Moreover, the molecular
luminophore CzBN-Ph–COOH can be utilized as an ECL tag in a
sandwich-type immunosensor to accurately determine carcinoembryonic
antigen (CEA) at the 10 pg/mL level without the inherent limitations
of nanomaterials.

Analytical Chemistry, a peer-reviewed research journal, focuses on disseminating new and original knowledge across all branches of analytical chemistry. Fundamental articles may explore general principles of chemical measurement science and need not directly address existing or potential analytical methodology. They can be entirely theoretical or report experimental results. Contributions may cover various phases of analytical operations, including sampling, bioanalysis, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry, microscale and nanoscale systems, environmental analysis, separations, spectroscopy, chemical reactions and selectivity, instrumentation, imaging, surface analysis, and data processing. Papers discussing known analytical methods should present a significant, original application of the method, a notable improvement, or results on an important analyte.
