Abstract
With the development of modern 5G communication technology, there is an urgent need for a lightweight and efficient advanced electromagnetic wave absorbing material. Here, a ZIF-67/CNTs/PVA-derived aerogel with strong reflection loss and electromagnetic wave absorption was prepared by freeze-drying and gradient temperature carbonization. The optimum electromagnetic wave absorption performance can be achieved by controlling the amount of ZIF-67 and the carbonization temperature. At 120 mg ZIF-67 addition, the minimum reflection loss (RL min) of −39.17 dB was achieved at 2.5 mm thickness. To further investigate the electromagnetic wave absorption properties of the sample, gradient temperature carbonization was employed. A remarkable RL min of −46.94 dB and an ultra-wide effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 7.12 GHz were achieved at 800 °C. This EAB nearly spans the entire Ku-band frequency range. In addition, the aerogel has high sound absorption coefficients with 0.94 at 3150 Hz, providing a novel approach for the development of multi-purpose, multifunctional microwave-absorbing aerogel.
