Abstract

The Technical Note titled “Photobiomodulation in major and minor salivary glands in Sjögren's Syndrome (SS)” assesses the potential therapeutic application of photobiomodulation in the treatment of major and minor salivary gland dysfunction caused by systemic conditions such as SS. Clinical findings demonstrate enhanced salivary flow and symptom alleviation, underscoring the importance of Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) in increased oral hydration. However, the inconsistent findings indicate that more studies and established practices are required. Despite these, the letter contributes significantly by offering details that could guide future research and improve patient outcomes.
