Abstract

Nursing education programs are challenged to serve nursing students, in light of a growing shortage of nurse educators. This work expands understanding of staffing, workload, and compensation for nursing faculty in associate degree programs. Recommendations to address the workforce include equitable salaries, recruitment of diverse faculty, and mentoring support for new faculty.
