The EFSA Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed (FEEDAP) concluded that the additive remains safe for the target species, consumers and the environment. Neohesperidine dihydrochalcone is not irritant to skin and eyes and is not a skin sensitiser. Exposure through inhalation is likely. Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the assessment of the application for the renewal of the authorisation of neohesperidine dihydrochalcone as a sensory feed additive for piglets and pigs for fattening, calves, sheep, fish and dogs.
