Findings showed that higher ALAN score was associated with higher systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and higher odds of hypertension. We observed higher percentages of SBP, DBP, and hypertension among the majority ethnic populations compared to the minority. Abstract

Artificial light at night (ALAN) is a growing environmental issue associated with negative health outcomes.
