Abstract

This paper aims to understand the impact of shared economy services of electric scooters on micromobility in the city of São Paulo, based on the proposal of a theoretical model that sought to analyze antecedent factors of continuance intention. The data were collected from a survey (n = 190) using the SEM-PLS technique for estimating latent variables combined with the NCA method. After analyzing the data, all hypotheses were accepted. The results indicated that the user understands that the electric scooter service is helpful. Its benefits were perceived as part of diversifying the possibility of getting around the city in short distances. Despite the slight drop, those who showed high satisfaction continued using the service. Besides, the results of the NCA method were adequate, and more attention was paid to the continuance intention construct after finding the bottleneck point of 50 %. Finally, the research results suggest the possibility of a slow evolution of micromobility in São Paulo, which caused companies to leave the country or restrict the number of cities served by the service.
