Abstract
AUC Committee Members; Fung MA, Vidal CI, Armbrecht EA, Andea AA, Cassarino DS, Comfere NI, Emanuel PO, Ferringer T, Hristov AC, Kim J, Lauer SR, Linos K, Missall TA, Motaparthi K, Novoa RA, Patel R, Shalin SC, Sundram U; Rating Panel; Calame A, Bennett DD, Duncan LM, Elston DM, Hosler GA, Hurley YM, Lazar AJ, Lowe L, Messina J, Myles J, Plaza JA, Prieto VG, Reddy V, Schaffer A, Subtil A. Appropriate use criteria for ancillary diagnostic testing in dermatopathology: New recommendations for 11 tests and 220 clinical scenarios from the American Society of Dermatopathology Appropriate Use Criteria Committee. J Cutan Pathol. 2022 Mar;49(3):231–245. doi: 10.1111/cup.14135. Epub 2021 Oct 19. PMID: 34536035.
In Table 2, the qRT-PCR AUC for clinical scenario “Adult patient with pathology suggestive or suspicious for melanoma: atypical Spitz tumor vs spitzoid melanoma” is 5.5 (1.4) and was shaded in white. It should be shaded in blue (“consensus of uncertain appropriateness”), not white (“no consensus”), since the standard deviation is <2.
In Table 2, the qRT-PCR AUC for clinical scenario “Adult patient with pathology suggestive or suspicious for melanoma: incompletely sampled unclassified Spitz tumor vs spitzoid melanoma” is 5.8 (2.0) and was shaded blue. It should be shaded in white, not blue, since the standard deviation is 2.0.
In Table 2, the qRT-PCR AUC for clinical scenario “Pediatric with pathology suggestive or suspicious for melanoma: Incompletely sampled unclassified Spitz tumor vs spitzoid melanoma” is 5.4 (2.1) and was shaded blue. It should be shaded in white, not blue, since the standard deviation is <2.
期刊介绍:
Journal of Cutaneous Pathology publishes manuscripts broadly relevant to diseases of the skin and mucosae, with the aims of advancing scientific knowledge regarding dermatopathology and enhancing the communication between clinical practitioners and research scientists. Original scientific manuscripts on diagnostic and experimental cutaneous pathology are especially desirable. Timely, pertinent review articles also will be given high priority. Manuscripts based on light, fluorescence, and electron microscopy, histochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, and genetics, as well as allied sciences, are all welcome, provided their principal focus is on cutaneous pathology. Publication time will be kept as short as possible, ensuring that articles will be quickly available to all interested in this speciality.
