Abstract
The fact of mixing hardware and software give rise to very complex systems, known as Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), that underlie several additional constraints for their design. The formalization of such systems requires a well-defined mathematical and modeling approach providing an integrated formal analysis. This paper aims to propose such formal approach while the main characteristic is to combine the BPMN model and Bigraphs to ensure the conception of these systems respecting several points of view. Our focus is on showing how these models complement each other to assist the system designer in establishing formal verification of the business process work-flows involved in CPS. The proposed integrated approach allows, according to different dimensions: functional, organizational and behavioral, to give precise semantics for the considered business process, with the aim of improving their efficiency, adapting them to new technologies and possible extensions and thus gaining a competitive advantage for the CPS-based organization they model.
