Abstract

One of the most crucial interdisciplinary fields in humanity’s advancement is space education. As the field comprises of multiple fields of study combined together to form rocket science resulting in several new technology as outcomes. Thus, it is vital to raise awareness of younger generation to retain the field’s integrity and inspire the younger generation to study science. However, as Thailand is developing country, the level of exposure of younger generation to space education is relatively low compared to those available in developed country. Therefore, this work presents a low-cost toolkit that would stimulate space education for younger generation in Thailand. An enrichment camp of 5 days was conducted to guide student through 4 learning parts; explore, experiment, embody and envision. Students of middle school age are challenged with relatively difficult concepts such as orbits, free falls, rotation and space exploration. Details of each steps and the learning method is discussed in the article.
