The clinical trial status and patents for dissolving microneedles for the management of skin disorders are also covered.</p><p><strong>Expert opinion: </strong>The current review on dissolving microneedles for skin drug delivery is accentuating the breakthroughs achieved so far in the management of skin disorders.
