In order to establish an examination for the prevalence of Aichivirus among pediatric patients involved to acute gastroenteritis, we conducted a RT-qPCR assay for detection and quantification of Aichivirus in collected stool samples. Materials and Methods: In this study, a total of 160 stool samples from September 2018 to May 2019 were collected from presenting pediatric patients with acute gastroenteritis in Karaj hospital, Iran. After viral RNA extraction, the RT-PCR was performed to amplify the 3CD junction region of Aichivirus. Results: Out of the 160 samples tested, the Aichivirus genomic RNA was detected in 13/160 (8.1%) of stool samples. The maximum viral prevalence rate was related to December (30.7%). The co-infection of Aichivirus with Salivirus and Saffold virus also assessed, among which high double or triple mixed-infections were determined. Conclusion: This is the first documentation of Aichivirus detection in stool samples that demonstrates Aichivirus has been circulating among Iranian pediatric patients. 摘要

背景:爱衣病毒是小核糖核酸病毒科的新成员,在日本被发现和分离。爱奇病毒属柯布病毒属,包括A、B和c三种基因型。根据以往在粪便样本以及河水和污水等环境样本中检测爱奇病毒的报告,已经证明爱奇病毒通过粪-口途径感染人类。为了检测急性胃肠炎患儿中爱奇奇病毒的流行情况,我们采用RT-qPCR方法对收集的粪便样本中的爱奇奇病毒进行检测和定量。材料与方法:本研究收集了2018年9月至2019年5月在伊朗卡拉杰医院就诊的急性胃肠炎儿科患者的粪便样本,共160份。提取病毒RNA后,进行RT-PCR扩增爱奇病毒3CD连接区。结果:在所检测的160份粪便样本中,有13/160(8.1%)的粪便样本检测到爱奇病毒基因组RNA。病毒感染率最高的月份为12月(30.7%)。对爱奇病毒与唾液病毒和藏红花病毒的共感染情况进行了评价,其中双、三重混合感染较高。结论:这是首次在粪便样本中检测到爱奇奇病毒,表明爱奇奇病毒已在伊朗儿科患者中传播。我们的结果表明,爱衣病毒联合唾液病毒和藏红花病毒可能被认为是急性胃肠炎的病原体。
