In this method, a simple two-step process combining laser interference patterning (LIP) and thermal dewetting was developed. Two-dimensional (2D) arrays of Ni nanoparticles with uniform sizes and narrow interparticle distances were fabricated on laser-interference patterned silicon substrates.
