This type of research is a qualitative method descriptive. Data in this study is the shape and strategy of said expresive of students is a discussion activity. The data source in this study was the student in the discussion activities in class VII SMP Negeri 13 Padang. The data collection techniques in this study are recording techniques, observations, and record-taking techniques. Based on the findings of research, we can conclude things here. There are six of the said thisplays used students in the discussion, which is say thank you 29 utterance, to say i am sorry 7 utterance, praising 3 utterance, criticizing 12 utterance, angry 11 utterance and complaining 4 utterance. The six of the said expressive was told by using four strategies are recalled, namely frankly without further ado 48 utterance, frankly speaking with positive civility 3 utterance, to be bright with negative civility 5 utterance, and said vaguely 10 utterance. 摘要:本研究的目的是描述小学七年级学生讨论活动的形式、策略和功能。这类研究是定性的描述性方法。本研究的数据是学生表达的形式和策略,是一种讨论活动。本研究的数据来源是在7班讨论活动的学生在SMP Negeri 13巴东。本研究的数据收集技术包括记录技术、观察技术和记录技术。根据研究结果,我们可以得出以下结论。学生们在讨论中使用了六种表达方式,分别是说谢谢29句话,说对不起7句话,表扬3句话,批评12句话,生气11句话和抱怨4句话。通过四种策略对6名表达者进行了回忆,即直言不讳的话语、直言不讳的积极礼貌话语、直言不讳的消极礼貌话语、含糊其辞的含糊其辞。Kata kunci:光明未来,表达,策略,讨论
