The initial information constituted the data of Rosstat, the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System (UIISS), the portal «Scientific and Technological Infrastructure of the Russian Federation». The analysis identified five groups of interrelated indicators that make up the composite index, which characterizes the level of technological development of the field of research and development at the regional level.
